Instructions for completing SPC PayPal webpages only for those paying by credit card

After clicking the white, rectangle box button that says PayPal,

that gets you to the first of 2 PayPal webpages.

The first PayPal webpage only applies if paying via your existing PayPal account.

If you have a PayPal account, it is assumed you know what to do.

Towards the bottom of the first PayPal webpage it says,

"Don't have a PayPal account?

Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue".

Just click the "Continue" link as the only thing you do on that webpage.

That gets you to the webpage to enter your credit card data.

Click the applicable country from the top drop down menu.

Then enter the following data:

- first name as it appears on the credit card

- last name as it appears on the credit card

- credit card number (with or without spaces)

- click the type of credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or AMEX)

- enter credit card expiration 2 digit month & 2 digit year (such as 04 & 08 if April of 2008)

- enter the 3 digit "CSC" or "card security code" from the back of the credit card

- enter the credit card billing address of the credit card (street or PO Box)

- enter the credit card billing address city

- enter the credit card  billing address state / province / region as applicable

- enter the credit card billing address postal code (zip code in the USA)

- enter a telephone number (probably your USA cell phone number but any number will do)

- enter your email address (as this will generate an email to you for payment confirmation)

- click orange box that says "Review Order & Continue"

This will check to make sure you have entered all data correctly and completely and if OK, you will be directed to click a link to get back to the SPC website where there is one last webpage to provide other entry "preferences" as it may apply.

If for whatever reason that this method of paying your SPC entry fee does not work, then you must pay by check or money order and such check or money order must be in San Francisco at the SPC address no later than the entry deadline as clearly disclosed on the SPC website.  Again, no one affiliated with the SPC will do this online entry fee credit card payment for you.  That means either you do it completely or you must pay by check or money order - no exceptions.
