ENTRY OPTIONS

SPC qualifier entries shall either be on official hardcopy entry forms or via online registration entries for exempt entrants with credit card or PayPal account payment. Fax & telephone entries are not accepted.

A wire transfer entry fee payment option is only available from exempt entrants outside the United States. Those seeking wire transfer entry fee payment will incur a $25 fee for such method (contact SPC to make arrangements).

Exempt entry fee payment is billed June 1 due on July 1.

Non–exempt qualifier entrants must submit a hardcopy entry with entry fee check to be received by the SPC no later than day before start of US Am qualifying. Late entries will not be accepted. Qualifier entrants must fully comply with conditions stipulated on “Exemptions & Qualifying” page.

notice – do not enter as exempt unless you have met at least one exemption criteria as website posted on the Exemption webpage. If you assume an exemption will be granted where none exists, you will be denied entry as such into the tournament without exception and wait-listed. If you are not exempt, you have only two options; request an exemption concurrent with requirements on the Exemption Request Form webpage or enter as a qualifier if eligible.

Entry Confirmation & Acceptance Information

All exempt entrants must meet the stipulated SPC exemption criteria at the time of entry irrespective of the exempt status that may have applied at the time of a player’s prior receipt of any printed exempt entry form. As an example, if you had a top 300 SP world amateur ranking at the time of receipt of a SPC exempt entry form but did not enter until after such ranking dropped out of the top 300, your previously received exempt entry form is no longer valid and you would no longer be exempt based on world ranking.

All entries received and accepted will be posted via the Contestants & Tee Times page of this website within 72 hours of receipt. All entrants will receive email confirmation of receipt. Entrants without email addresses need to check the website exempt entrant list or qualifier entrant list for confirmation. Once your entry has been accepted and your place in the field is assured, subsequent communications pertaining to the SPC will only be via email and/or website postings. All entrants must have a current, working, valid email address that unconditionally accepts any email from [whatever]@scratchplayers.org to receive any communications remotely relating to the tournament from the SPC.

Entry Fee & Inclusions

The entry fee is $250 and must be received by July 1 for all exempt players entering before that date.
The qualifier entry fee is a non-refundable $30 with a balance due on 8/5 of $220 if such entrant qualifies.

The entry fee for players in the SPC field includes:
· crystal trophy to the Champion, Runner Up & Third place

· Player Program & contestant merchandise gifts (tee prizes provided at Player Registration)

· merchandise prizes to at least the top 15 and ties

· carts & drivers/markers for each final round twosome electing to take a cart for equipment

· all green fees for tournament play (4 rounds if make both cuts)

· "Member/Am" practice round green fees on Monday, August 16th

· practice round green fees on Sunday, August 15th (contingent on tee time availability at discretion of host club)

· reduced caddie fees for those electing to retain one ($20 plus tip per round retained)

· complimentary airport and accommodation shuttle service (free; private vans, SUV’s & auto’s)

· "Hospitality Reception" libations & hors d’oeuvres on Monday

· "Member/Am" Dinner with "Top Gun" Champions jacket presentation at the clubhouse dining room on Monday

· "Committemen’s" Dinner at the clubhouse dining room on Wednesday (those with final round tee times invited upon request)

· buffet breakfast at host club for remaining contestants each day of the Championship

· buffet lunch at host club for remaining contestants each day of the Championship

· on-course snacks and beverage for contestants each round of the Championship and the "Member/Am" practice round

Entry Deadline & Withdrawals

The entry deadline is SPG "receipt of" by day before start of applicable US Amateur qualifying site for qualifier entrants (postmark irrelevant) with the exempt entrant deadline remaining open until the field is full. Fax and telephone entries are not accepted. All entries received by the entry deadline (or until the field is full) are subject to acceptance by the Tournament Committee (TC). The first 85 exempt entries received are assured a place in the SPC if otherwise accepted by the TC. Players withdrawing subsequent to entry must notify the TC promptly as withdrawals after July 25 incur a $50 withdrawal refund processing fee and after 8/5 incur a $100 withdrawal refund processing fee. Withdrawing entrants after 8/10 will forfeit their entry fee.

Promptly notify the TC of withdrawals at 415.614.0322 (ph/fax) or via email at group@scratchplayers.org. Entry fee checks are deposited no later than August 1 for all entrants accepted into the Championship field (all other entrant checks are returned by 8/31). Consequently, post-dating of entry fee checks to June 20 is acceptable. Online entries are processed immediately & automatically at time of entry. All entrants accepted into the Championship who subsequently withdraw will receive their applicable net refund amount by 9/1.
